Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez has the largest Atlantic coastline in the Vendée department. Take full advantage of the dozens of beaches in this unspoilt area. One of the most popular is the family-friendly Plage des Mouettes, a stretch of fine sand renowned for its excellent water quality. Here you’ll find children’s play equipment and a wide range of water sports (surfing, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, etc.). The Demoiselles beach, with lifeguard surveillance in summer, is also well worth a visit. At low tide, it’s a delight for anglers.
The Cinq Pineaux beach is also ideal at low tide , with its reservoir. This little cove is ideal for the little ones to splash around in complete safety.
